GTM - TOOLS
Google Sheets extension of Simo Ahava's www.gtmtools.com.

About

GTM Tools are the Google Sheets extension of Simo Ahava’s www.gtmtools.com. This Google Sheets extension is free to use, and the first version includes documentation-building tools with which you can automatically generate documentation for your Google Tag Manager container, tags, triggers, and variables.

The documentation tools also include the option to mass-update notes across your tags, triggers, and variables. This is extremely useful when you want to add descriptions to these items to make it easier to understand what role each play in your container.

Features

- Build Documentation: When you click Build documentation, the add-on will prompt you for a Google Tag Manager account and container. The list will include all containers to which your current logged-in Google user ID has access. Once you’ve selected a container, click Build to start the process.

- Mark changes to Notes: The next thing you can do is manually edit the Notes field of the tags, triggers, and variables sheets. You can edit or create note entries for each item if you wish.

- Push changes to notes: Once you’ve made changes to the notes fields, you can push these changes to a GTM container. The container is automatically selected based on the sheet you have active in Google Sheets.
